Friday the 7th august the park life invitational was held in earnslaw park, queenstown as jibbers and enthusiasts alike gathered in the hundreds to watch or take part in the sickest rail jam of the season. With a super gnarly set up; a street down box, double shot gun down rail and a down ‘flat’ bar all amongst stairs the competition got underway with hammers getting thrown instantly!!!!
After impressive riding done by all the winers on the night were adam shaw collecting a massive “2 GRAND” and yours truly going home happy with a lazy $500
Sup. The Billabong crew are back in town again and will be up Snowpark this friday and saturday with the Quarter pipe and big air comps!!! Get up there and watch some epic riding from the local crew and a few international pros that will be there to throw down. chur
Its the 27th August 2009 which means its my 21st Bithday!!
And sure enough the sun is shining and Titahi Bay is pumping! It’s a howling onshore wind and the glare will kill the eyes.. but thats irrelevant. Its my birthday and theres waves, that’s the main thing ay?
The weekend turned out to be and epic one for NZ snowboarding!!! The winter games slopestyle was on up at Remarkables. With a lot of international riders still around the kiwis came out in force and dominated. Stef Zeestraten ended up winning the mens division with nick hyne 2nd. The other local boys Jordan Rehrer and nick brown got 4th and 5th. Yeow.
Once again Shelly Gotlieb proved how high her level of riding is by winning the Gold for the woman. She beat Jamie Anderson who ended up second. Epic results for the NZ crew and a lil bit of cash to help them out! Chur
Tomorrow morning I am headed off to Korea for the IWSF Worlds. I am looking forward to checking that place out.
I have been riding really well and I am hoping to walk away with a medal.. Being that I am Dutch, I love GOOOOOOOLLLD!!! But I will bring it home for NZ!
I will keep you up on the progress as we go.

Here is a re cap of the next level riding that went on last week at the BURTON OPEN! Check it out. Only a few days till the winter games now, looks like a whole lot more epic snow shredding is to come!!! I’ll keep ya posted……
