Papua New Guinea ASL Magazine Photo Shoot!!!
October 30, 2009 by Angie Koops (Surfer)
Hey everyone, so here is an update of what’s happening in Angie’s little world. Any day now we are flying off to PNG for an Australian Surfing Life magazine photo shoot. Shelidsy the ASL photographer is checking the surf conditions everyday and looking at the swell forecast, as soon as we know there is going to be great waves we jump on the plane and head off to catch it.
Dru my boyfriend is doing this amazing campaign for Pacific Blue Airways that was the original reason for going over there in the first place but now it has extended into a magazine shoot. Its great because there is only going to be a couple of guys heading over and myself so there is every chance I am going to get into the ASL mag. I will keep you updated as soon as I know when we go!!!
Hellos internet! so I’m sitting in LAX at 5 in the morning waiting for a connecting flight to Mexico for some crazy contest there that my friend has jacked up! ahahahahaha! argh! Here’s some pics for ya from my journey so far, its been pretty fun!
Here’s a couple of pics of my buddy Glenn holding some shoes that are some super limited Nike friggin bmx 2008 Beijing shoes, and a pair of Bob Haro shoes as well! (he invented freestyle bmx!). There’s only like 4 pairs in existance! Ahahaha and a pair of ET (the movie!) Nikes with an embroided basket on the heel and its colorway is the same colorway as the Kuwahara that Elliot rode in the movie!!! I know, crazy Nike’s all over the place!!! Guess thats what you get if you made the Nike bmx dvd!

Hey guys, Labour weekend always brings fun exciting missions. Last weekend was the International Day of Climate Action, and I’m sure some of you will have taken part in an event somewhere near you. In ChCh I held a 350 paddle out which turned out really well considering it was left until the last minute. We had 15 peeps rock up from the age of about 12- 50! The surf was gentle and fun..for those of you who want to learn more about 350…here is all you need to know www.350.org
p.s I’m having trouble uploading pics
sorry! Daisy
