I was searching the world wide interweb the other day and I came across a few random pics from the past few years.

The riding shots below are from when I was on the ‘Ronix 5 Gallons of Freedom tour’. We stopped off in Nashville Tennesse for an event called ‘Wake Bash’. It was a sick event with loads of boats all parked up forming a huge lake party.

These pics below are from when I won Wakestock in the UK. It was my first major win as a professional Wakeboarder so it was a huge achievement for me and was also the most prize money I have ever won.. At the time it worked out at about $6,000 NZ.

Pond Skim!!

The pond skim was epic! It happens every year and is always a bunch of laughs with crazy people dressed up and skiing into a freezing cold pond. I like it, I laughed a lot!

Then we have the Peak to Powderkeg! It involves really fit people starting at the top of the Mt, then skiing or boarding down to the base, then running for a few kms and then bike the whole way down the Mt road. When they get to the bottom they gotta then skull a beer and whoever crosses the finish line first wins all! Its pretty cool to watch, but that’s it for me…..watching and then maybe the beer bit at the end!

Yeap still here in Africa!

But my time is soon coming to a close, which saddens me as it does when you get close to people and make somewhere your home. But not to worry as there are still a few more weeks of good times to come.

As I type this blog the sun’s fiery orange light is spilling over the Atlantic Ocean in front of me and it is waiting patiently (along with us) for some much anticipated swell to hit its reefy right hand points. Oh it’s been too long! Sunday is the day so the internet says, we shall see.

I have some buddies visiting at the mo which is fantastic. We had a swoop around the local souk this morning selecting the yummiest smelling mint, coriander, pomegranates, mandarins, dates and nuts! Then it was off for an arvo, almond and date smoothie…….do try it you’ll be blown away.

Spent my 21st Mexican style at a sweet lodge with good company and some young drunken Mexican kids, with a bunch of marinated steak and also a bunch of tequila!

This place called Cuatro Cinegas is amazing, clear blue oasis type ponds…in the middle of no where.

…and i’ve also been messing around and made a lil’ vid of the local park i’ve been to a couple of times!

It’s always good checking out old grommet footage!

The rest were a few homies I’d skate with, now all are doing alright I’m pretty sure – Tommy Fynn, Tom Snap, Kayle Lawson…..check them out on this youtube vid and drink a can of Dew.

Once upon a time I had put my creative streak to the test and created a mosaic ‘wave’ as a splashback behind the oven in our old house in Manly, Whangaparaoa.

Apparently it was among one of the many daughterly duties for me to do yet another Mosaic in our newly renovated house where we now reside in Kaukapakapa.

This time, as we now live in the middle of nowhere as opposed to being by the beach, mother required a little more greenery and this what I put together……

40 hours later….. one splashback as ordered!! =)

-That should take care of my rent until I head off to Colorado in a couple of months

Pretty cool. I was lucky enough to have an article included in this issue. It’s about secluded spots, and the journey to get to them and the rewards of riding them.

Tiffany Morgan shot the sequence of the wazman carving while I shot the footy! Grab the latest 2020 and check-on-it!!!

Every year the riders get together and they vote….. they vote for their friends who inspire them. This year’s people have spoken!
