Mountain Dew is running this cool as competition! Where ya have the chance to win your very own signature skate deck.

So what ya have to do is ……download the deck template and start designing your idea of the coolest skate deck using the MD logo! Its pretty much anything goes you can draw, paint, cut and paste or use a fancy computer to create your design!

The only rule they got is you gotta use the MD logo which you can also download. Then Dew pro skate ambassadors Mike Bancroft and Brett Band will choose the five finalists and then the winner.

The winner will get their design made into their own skate deck, they will also get a awesome prize pack worth $1000………. how sweet is that!

Off season means a bunch of down time, so to pass the time I have been finding some one-handed activities to get me through.

First had to do some beach days with friends …

Oh then BBQs are the next best thing, I def need plenty of them before I head off back to winters and no BBQ weather

Then had to do a send off coffee for the crew who are on the way back to USA

Then had to dress lil Ru in his 1st bday pressie – Thanks Deano at Chop

All of this one handed, but not long now and I’ll be back to 2 hands

I just got the new 2020 BMX magazine in the mail. They’ve changed the mag up a bit,  it’s now printed on a SUPER nice papery stock…kinda feels like a coffee table magazine more than a normal ‘magazine’!

There’s a lil article in it about the Mountain Dew Pinball Skatepark which talks about the idea, what went down and the lay out of the park. It also includes one of the pics that I shot while riding the park, including my broken foot. I could only manage about 2 or 3 PR pictures riding the park, as every time I’d shoot a picture I’d have to stop and sit down for 10 minutes to let my broken foot have a rest, pop some pain killers, then try again. Bit of a painful experience. BLAH!

Anyways, it’s out now in all good magazine stores so rush out and nab it! Way cool!

Northern hemi season is fast approaching now! I’m leaving NZ for Breckenridge, Colorado in just ’13′ days!!

Since I have been back from Wanaka its been frantic with school, work, gym and getting everything organised for the next 6 months in the States. Studying for exams is definitely one thing that I cannot wait to get done with… I had my first one today ‘Financial Management’ and it was just as exciting as it sounds haha but it hopefully went okay?? A pass is all I need. Last one on Friday, can’t fricking wait!!

Been trying to get to Snowplanet at least once or twice a week for about an hour or two and that’s about the only thing keeping me sane at the moment haha. Below, Niki Peters and myself after a F.U.N shred sesh!

There is just something about Halloween in the US… they really go all out…….for the entire month there will be decorations all over the place.

I have also noticed that Halloween is basically just an excuse for girls to dress up in little slutty costumes and for everyone to just party all weekend.. I’m not complaining…

Check out the boat that just arrived at my place!!! Unfortunately its not mine however it is the boat I will be using for the next few weeks until I head back to New Zealand. The wake is bangin! Not to mention it looks bad ass!
