Friday the 7th august the park life invitational was held in earnslaw park, queenstown as jibbers and enthusiasts alike gathered in the hundreds to watch or take part in the sickest rail jam of the season. With a super gnarly set up; a street down box, double shot gun down rail and a down ‘flat’ bar all amongst stairs the competition got underway with hammers getting thrown instantly!!!!
After impressive riding done by all the winers on the night were adam shaw collecting a massive “2 GRAND” and yours truly going home happy with a lazy $500
A massive night celebrating and my fellow comp jock’n companions and I hit the road the next morning with a 6hour drive ahead of us to Christchurch for the skull candy rail jam in SOL square!!! Although this was no park life invitational it was certainly a step up from last year and fun was had by all-not to mention men’s first place was a brand new 96 Subaru Legacy with 148,000kms on the clock filled with amongst other things a few boxes of beer!!! now if that’s not enough to get you motivated i don’t know what is!!! with the set up as a street style down bar this gave the competitors plenty of excuse to tear the S*#t out of that bag of tricks!!
