After a long day at work with a head wind to and from town on my bike I get home, put the neglected washing in the machine and soak my whites in the sink. I put my feet up and organise some summer plans….flattie arrives home with a screech, “Daisy the washing machine is flooding” oh dam! I race up and sure enough the whole entire kitchen is 2 inches deep with water and the sink in which my whites (now extra dirty) had been soaking was full to the brim and overflowing. I must not have realise that the machine water actually flows through from the machine into the sink?? Hmmm…If it has nowhere to go then it’s heading straight for the floor. A mop and 10 towels later all is gooood in this sunny beach side flat

Spring is bringing some interesting weather patterns and makes the wild life go crazy down here in the South. Last week when I was out surfing super fun 2-3ft clean as a whistle waves a sea-lion decided to join us which was cool because most of the time they will just hang out and have a frolic but oh no this Sammy the sea-lion wanted  a bit more than a frolic. My buddie saw him and said uh oh, here I said uh oh what?, spin around and get death stared by a sharp toothed grinning sea-lion who had just found his perfect victim. Here I am lying tummy down on my surfboard keeping my tootsies out of nipping distance whilst old Sammy comes up for a surface behind me. I hear his breath as he pops up but don’t look, he comes closer and pops his head up again with that same watery breath, once more he surfaces closer again…I don’t think he likes me, but then he disappears. Phew! All of a sudden I feel a strong bump under my board and that’s it, that’s me paddling calmly but as fast as I can towards land. It’s great when you see creatures in the ocean but it’s their place and I think when they start to harass you then they obviously want you outta there quick smart.

That’s the action that has been happening lately, I hope your all enjoying some sunshine
