NICKNAME: Holler
FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN: I grew up at Mt. Hutt so that’s definitely my stomping grounds. But now I’m based in Wanaka.
FAVOURITE TERRAIN: Backcountry riding accessed by snowmobile. It’s exclusive, it’s amazing, it’s hard work but it’s totally worth it.
FAVOURITE TRICK: Powder slashes are timeless and will be something I can do when I’m really REEEAALLLLLYYY washed up.
WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM TRICK BE? Things have gotten pretty out of hand over the last few years. 1440 this – double cork that. I have NO desire to be that guy. A perfect powder run would be my choice.
WHO INSPIRES YOU? Not any individual really. Instead, I get inspired by different aspects and traits that certain people have.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Getting away from the choas of day to day life is refreshing. Snowboarding gives you lots of opportunity to do this like being in the backcountry riding powder with your buddies.
BEST ACHIEVEMENT TO DATE: Getting out of Aranui
WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU WOULD LOVE TO DO IN YOUR LIFETIME:
- Be happy
- See the Taj Mahal
- Climb a legit mountain
- Run a marathon
- Meet Barack Obama
- Get in a barrel on a surfboard
- Make my first million
IF YOU COULD BE ANYONE (OR ANYTING) WHO/WHAT WOULD YOU BE? Me
WHEN YOU’RE OFF THE SNOW, WHAT DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING? Emails, emails and more emails. And whenever I’m on my Mac I’m ALWAYS listening to lots of music.
HOW WOULD YOUR DREAM LIFE PAN OUT? Being successful with everything I do. Simple and sweet.
WHAT GETS YOU STOKED? Snowboarding, music, laughing with friends and watching super talented people excelling in whatever it is they do.
ANY FINAL WORDS? If you don’t stand for something – you’ll fall for anything.
