4th at the 2012 Canadian Burton Open!!

What an amazing week we just had!
Stefi Luxton, myself and Shelly Gotlieb made it all the way through qualifiers, semis and then finals to end up 3rd, 4th and 5th!!!
How badarse is that?!!

So I went there for the experience and man did I get it!
For now I’m in Banff, Alberta doing some filming with the Rudeboys for shtchea.com on Lake Lousie and Sunshine. So many fun times to be had!
Then I have the Billabong Flaunt It rail jam and slopestyle this weekend so looking forward to that! =)

Re-building my confidence after my wee spill I had yesterday. Managed to concuss myself and totalled my board…BUT today was funnnn.

Had the Canadian Open slope style qualifiers today and all three Kiwi’s made the top 5 cut off out of 31 girls! NZ represent!!!
My first comp on the international scene and I was first to drop…sweet. Nervous much??!
Luckily I stomped my first run as the second run I ate shitttt on the last jump snapping the nose of my board and hitting my head…Not ideal.
Results are as follows….

Canadian Burton Open practice done and dusted…

Chew getting it done in practice at the Canadian Burton Open today in Calgary, Alberta.
Today was super fun, the wind picked up in the arvo which made the jumps challenging but it is what it is!
Tomorrow is qualifiers, will keep you posted!
We have finally been getting some new snow lately!
So… naturally, we went and took some turns! FUN.
