CHRISTY PRIOR BRAKES HERSELF OFF!!…. March 8, 2010 by Christy Prior (Snowboarder)

Let me rephrase that….. EXPLODED COLLAR BONE!! oh, o…. check these out!!

This is what eventuates when you don’t make the right call dropping into a jump…  after getting put off by a skier coming across my side of the drop in causing me to swerve and take a different line then I’m used too off the take off I decided to continue and hit it anyway…. bad move… heels slip out in front of me and after not being able to bring my super corked maneuver back to my feet, instead I land on my neck/shoulders on the knuckle…. not fun… Check out the rest of the pics below…

Living the life!! Boom! February 26, 2010 by Christy Prior (Snowboarder)

Here’s a few pics of what I’ve been up to lately in Canada…bears, burgers and bluebird skys… I also have some comps coming up next weekend so I’ll let you know how I get on with them…

Here’s the beautiful panarama view at Sunshine (one of the mountains we are riding at here in Banff, Canada!!)

‘Billabong Flaunt It’ poduim finish in Banff, Canada!! February 17, 2010 by Christy Prior (Snowboarder)

So- I made it to Banff, Alberta in Canada and wow what a place!!  The vibe is like a mix somewhere between Wanaka (NZ) and Queenstown (NZ) and I LOVE IT!! People are amazing, surroundings are breath taking and the mountains definitely hold there own that’s for sure!!

Had my first comp last week which was the Norquay rail jam that runs throughout the season which was my first win  but last Saturday the 13th we had the Billabong Flaunt it ALL GIRLS tour come right to our door step again at Mt Norquay and here are some pic’s courtesy of photographers Katherine Calnan and Jan Davies……

Weather prevailed nicely and the snow and cloud predicted kindly gave way to a HOT, sunny day!!  No matter what happened it was going to be a great day!!

Billabong Flaunt It consists of a slopestyle and a rail jam all in one day and is one of the funnest events I’ve done yet- I just love jam format (can have as many runs as you like in a certain amount of time, best run wins)
