ROBETT HOLLIS: Sled to the Summit BLOG
July 13, 2010 by Robett Hollis (Snowboarder)
Now it was time to find some new zones and get some more shredding in. Pablo Azocar and Robett Hollis took a mission out to a new zone called 7th Heaven.

7th Heaven
Why is this zone called 7th Heaven? Well, after we had shredded this zone for a bit we stopped across from all our tracks for a snack and decided to name it. I had taken 5 lines already and Pablo and knocked out 2 solid straight lines leaving 7 perfect tracks down this zone. And hence the name – 7th Heaven.
The next time it snows I think we will be back here with the crew to smash some stuff out. Bring on a southerly!

What is the ‘Sled to the Summit’ Project?
NZsnowboard.com Founder Robett Hollis and photographer Pablo Azocar will be documenting experiences accessing new places to snowboard in Aotearoa through the use of snowmobiles.
To accomplish this they will be using 2 snowmobiles which have been shipped from the USA to New Zealand, and along with 4×4 trucks to take the snowmobiles they will go in the search for new snow and terrain.

What a mission. Got back to NZ. Bought a new truck in AK then drove down to Wanaka visiting family all the way down.
Still haven’t unpacked my room but happy to be back on home turf for another winter.
Coronet is opening this weekend. AMPED!
Hey, Finally made it back after a 13 hour flight of minimal sleep. DRAIN!
Got a truck sorted and now up on the farm with the whanau before I bail back down south to Wanaka. I see a lot of rain and snow coming which is always good news! Bring it on! - Holler
Hey, Got a quick lil blog up from the start of the sled to the summit series.
The first step to get snowmobiles from the states to NZ is to get them put in crates so they can be put on a boat and shipped.
ENJOY!
