Legacy Presents ‘A Tribute Show to the King of Pop’
October 6, 2009 by Friends of Dew
From the dance class to the glitz and glamour of the big stage – Legacy Dance Company students aged 7 to 18+ pay tribute to the King of Pop on 10 October with two shows at Lower Hutt’s Little Theatre.
Ben Uili, Legacy Dance Company Director says “We’ve been working towards this show during term three and it’s great to finally bring it to life. ”
“We have some nervous students who haven’t performed on the big stage before, but this helps build confidence, discipline and a sense of achievement amongst our students who are mostly youth. The skills they take away from this aren’t just dancing, but skills they can apply to their lives.”
Join us in our tribute to the King of Pop performed by the hottest up and coming dancers in Wellington . . .

Note: We have decided to donate proceeds from this show to the Samoa Tsunami Relief Fund to help families and friends affected – your support will be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. The last few months have been pretty busy for us. Well to begin with . . . our dance classes started in May and we’re already in to our second term.
We really didn’t know what to expect on our open day in May. We had an idea and then it turned it to a vision. But now it’s a REALITY! Open day was nerve racking because we were unsure whether people will turn up.
It turned out to be a huge success with over 60 students between the ages of 7-28 coming in to check it out. Our hip hop classes are held at Te Whaea: National Dance and Drama Centre, Newtown, Wellington. Check out the timetable through www.legacydance.co.nz
