Hi guys, I’ve just been in NZ since the 20th December and it was so nice! I was amazed to get temperatures of 34 degrees, crazy as it’s actually warmer than the Goldy has been and it was so nice to see all the family and friends. I got to do heaps of fun things like camping in the Sounds and getting out in the boats to all the secluded bays where we did lots of scurfing and water skiing.

My Jim Beam The Break is officially starting on the 18th-19th of January so I’m back on the GC getting ready for this. It’s such an amazing opportunity and I’m so stoked to be apart of it and give it my all. Apparently the Jim Beam crew is going to be filming the whole time so there will most defiantly be a few stories and a video production come out in the near future.

Now its up to me for the finals….I will be competing against the other finalists not sure on what the Jim Beam crew plan to do just yet, but it will be judged on personality, ability, fitness etc… so it should be interesting.  

I have just upped my training fitness program to get myself best prepared for it. My boyfriend Dru won his heat too so we have been supporting each other and he is training hard too.

My mum has just got me a ticket to go home to NZ for christmas so excited!! Such a surprise I didn’t think I was able to go this year………looking so forward to it!

 My good mate Thandi has just arrived and we are going down to the pool to do some pool training and recovery, so talk soon….

Thanks so much for the great support!!! I found out I am in the lead so far in the surfing Video competition whoo hoo nice start. But lets not get too far ahead………………we have 4 more days to go!!

We have never been able to afford to do the world qualifying series to make the world surfing tour, this is our dream and this is our big break to give it a go!!

Yeeow, Jim Beam has a competition for the surfers to produce the best surf videos and whoever wins will get a full financial sponsor. It will be on a voting system which we will find out about soon. But we need as many people to like our profiles as possible to start with :) once the voting system starts we will let you know.  Please have a look at our surfing videos and let us know what you think on the site :)

I’ve just spent the weekend down in Sydney and it was another great event put on by the Christian surfers, they really go all out! 

The Jesus Pro Am 2010 was a tough event and I almost got knocked out in my first heat. I was coming last up until the 8min mark and I managed to catch a wave that was a scorer, but I was still going to get knocked out unless I got another scorer. In the last 3mins I got a keeper,which pushed me up to 1st place.

I managed to make it to the finals which meant it was a fight between Winni Paul and I, as we both were going for the all expenses paid trip to Samoa, which was the prize for the overall winner on series points. Winni was ahead of me in points, but if I bet her I would go into the lead…..or so I thought.

In the finalis I came in 2nd place and Winni got fourth and then we ended up coming 1st equal in series points, but on count back Winni won it. So close! Oh well I got $500 for 2nd, not bad!
