Canadian Burton Open practice done and dusted…

Chew getting it done in practice at the Canadian Burton Open today in Calgary, Alberta.
Today was super fun, the wind picked up in the arvo which made the jumps challenging but it is what it is!
Tomorrow is qualifiers, will keep you posted!
We have finally been getting some new snow lately!

Winter Dew Tour – Semi Final highlights

Unfortunately I had to pull out of the Dew Tour Qualifiers this week but we had 3 other Kiwi girls holding it down for us including fellow Mountain Dew Ambassador Shelly Gotlieb!

Park Lane (Breckenridge’s medium park) is looking like it’s going to be fully up and running in no time which is exciting. Freeway (Breckenridge’s large park) will also be open to the public for the first time this season!
Getting my jump back on……
It has been COLD here lately! Sometimes only reaching a ‘High’ of -22 Degrees Celsius during the day… I don’t even want to know how cold it is at NIGHT!
My Kiwi buddy Kate Perriam gets to the States and as an acupuncturist would, she came fully equipped with needles for some much needed acupuncture!
Breckenridge, Colorado USA…

I arrived safe and sound back to Breckenridge, Colorado only to be greeted with warm sunny park days! – Who ever said this place was cold…
In saying that though, weather forecast for the coming week is for snow and freezing cold temperatures so we are enjoying this beautiful weather while we can! =)
Since I arrived here on the 20th November I have witnessed and partaken in my first ever Thanksgiving (which is AWESOME) and, I also got to snowboard for the first time ever on my birthday!!
Dew Tour is coming up on December 13th so we are going pretty hard to get our feet back in time for that!

Massey University Blues Award & pre USA farm life antics…

Can’t believe I depart NZ for the USA for 6 months THIS weekend! Already going back to winter… I guess getting a tan is out of the question for now! Haha.
Exams are done, fingers crossed for a pass! Stoked to receive a Massey University Blues Award though! Check out the pimp trophy…
Once again the last few days before I leave means running around like a headless chicken, trying to generate a vague plan for the next 6 months of my life… On the rare occasion that I am not working, studying or snowboarding I do just love getting amongst some farm life with the family…
Of course then there is the going away BBQ… any excuse for a social gathering which includes wine, good food and great people! =)
Well, next stop… Breckenridge, Colorado, USA!!!!! =)
