ANYWAYS! My good bud Mike Zombie asked me to help him on an article for the new issue! It’s basically about a couple of special BMX frames we both own, from Terrible One.

T-1 is a company owned by another good friend, of mine Joe Rich. T-1 set the standard a few years ago, not just the quality and design of frames and parts, but more so the mentality of a rider owned company, doing what they do, and doing it well! That and they have probably the best ramp in the world out the back of the HQ in Austin Texas! I’ve been fortunate enough to ride the T-1 ramp a few times, and it’s like nothing else on earth!

Make sure you pick up the latest issue of 2020 for all the BMX goods form Aus and some snippets of NZ! In all good bookstores and magazine stores now!

The forth day (thursday) was a weather day due to the torrential rain which meant I had to miss out on the last day (friday) as I was flying back to NZ. I was more than happy with the time I got to ride the set up – can’t wait for next year already!!

A day in Reno city then back home to the motherland =)

First stop, Hollywood!

One legit view from a hotel we found on a last minute super cheap deal… Oh how you gotta just love the world wide web.

So what if we had 5 people in one room in a super bed (two beds pushed together).

Then to Mammoth for the PBRJ finals. In 20mins you gotta get your best trick one each of the three zones, I made it through quails in 3rd place even though I didn’t quite get one of the zones as good as I wanted so knew I had room to improve butttt in finals I only managed to land one of the three zones hahah, so, that was that. With the temperature at 80 degrees farenheight it was hot and the hike was pretty long, we were all so beat! SUCH fun times though, everyone was there and we all had a blast. =)

Next stop, Ms Superpark in Tahoe!!!!!

Ladies from all over Canada and America came to show case there skills for a piece of the $20,000 cash purse!

What an amazing day it was! I was stoked; I landed my front rodeo 7 for the first time in a full slopestyle run! So far I had only thrown it in competition once which was at the Auckland Big Air so that’s another step forward for me. The judges awarded me with the Nixon overall style award so that was rad!

In the afternoon we had the 1hr rail jam which was judged on best trick. Ladies snowboarding is serious stuff these days, shit is getting REAL to say the least. Winning trick in the rail jam was back lip pretzel 270 out of the stair set by Breanna Stangeland. Badarse. It was sweet to have it on such a gnarly set up as it made us all step up our game! I can’t say I had ever front blunt same ways, back lip’d or switch front lip 270 out on anything as gnarly as that so I’m pumped with that! Overall impression may have helped bump up my placing but since it was judged on best trick I had to settle for 4th which I was stoked with since the ladies all threw down!!!
